Cost: $125 per student
There is a final exam to gain certification. The Certificate is good for 2 years and comes from the Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI) and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). Issued by an approved ECSI instructor.

First Aid
-Introduction to injuries and the importance of First Aid
-Scene Size-up, legal aspects, prevention of disease transmission
-Injury Emergencies: Bleeding control, wound care, face injuries, impaled objects, amputations, head injuries, spinal injuries, chest injuries, bone and joint injuries, burns, and shock
-Sudden Illnesses: Asthma, allergic reactions, heart attack, stroke, fainting, seizures, and diabetic emergencies
-Environmental Emergencies: Heat and cold related emergencies, poisoning, opioids
-First Aid kits
CPR and AED
-Heart attack and cardiac arrest
-Adult, child and infant CPR
-Compression only CPR
-Airway obstructions
-Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
The Intermediate course DOES NOT Include
-Pregnancy complications
-The following environmental emergencies: Poison ivy, animal bites, stings, marine animal injuries
-Triage, emergency rescue moves
