Basic First Aid
The Basic First Aid course is our most popular course and is great for anyone seeking a basic knowledge of emergency care. Its design is to meet first aid requirements for most workspace and classroom environments. This course covers the basics of adult and child first aid, CPR & AED, with an infant option available.
Length: 3 hours (infant option 4 hours)

Summery Overview
First Aid
-Introduction to injuries and the importance of First Aid.
-Scene Size-up, legal aspects, prevention of disease transmission.
-Injury Emergencies: Bleeding control, impaled objects, amputations, head injuries, spinal injuries, burns, and shock.
-Sudden Illnesses: Asthma, allergic reactions, heart attack, stroke, seizures, and diabetic emergencies.
-Environmental Emergencies: Heat and cold related emergencies, poisoning, opioids.
CPR and AED
-Heart attack and cardiac arrest.
-Adult and child CPR (infant option).
-Compression only CPR.
-Airway obstructions.
-Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
This Basic First Aid course DOES NOT include the following...
-Long term wound care.
-Injuries: chest, abdominal, bone, joint, and muscle.
-Illnesses Emergencies: fainting, pregnancy complications, cold related emergencies, poison ivy, animal bites, stings, marine animal injuries.
-First Aid kits, triage, emergency rescue moves.
